Baptizing our little Angel

We baptized our baby this past November. It was a beautiful ceremony, wish our whole family could have been there to witness it. Living in different states always makes celebrating a bit difficult.  

I wanted to make a very simple yet elegant cake for this occasion.  Here is what I came up with for our little prince on his baptism. 


I really like the crowns I had made for a previous cake that I thought it would make a perfect little topper for this simple yet elegant cake.  The crown was made out of a mixture of fondant and gum paste (for quicker drying). 




The cross are simply sixlets and the silver trim on the bottom is a sugar sheet. All edible!
