A Giant Cupcake Cake

I love love how this turned out!! Instead of doing the usual rosettes on the giant cupcake like many other times before I went more with a swirl one.  And I think it was perfect for the girly girl it was for!

The bottom of the cupcake is made out of candy melts! delicious!

A Dodger cake for my Baseball player

So between a death in the family, my son's baseball season and daughter's softball season I really didn't have time to make my son a cake.  We actually just got together late Friday night after one of his games to celebrate his birthday.

Earlier in the day I baked some cupcakes. I had originally planned on making him a diamond field with the cupcakes but had no energy or time to do it so I went with the easiest possible decoration....... a giant baseball!

I had previously ordered the Dodgers logo sugar sheet from etsy or ebay (can't remember) just in case I needed over his baseball season, so it came in handy on this day.

He love it! and it's all that matters!

Game night Birthday Cake

I had a request for a game night birthday cake for my BFF's daughter, Layla. Nothing fancy she said  just a small cake that I can put this cute travel size trouble game on. Perfect, so I went with the classic games, Twister and Sorry.

Elmo cake for my 2 year old

There was no doubt in my mind what kind of cake I was gonna make my 2 year old this year, at the time (since it's months later now....LOL) all he wanted to watch day and night (if allowed) was Elmo!

My son's birthday lands right in the middle of ball season so I thought I would make my life easier and just order the figures online, plus the birthday boy also wanted Abby on the cake.

You can see the Birthday boy had first dibs on the cake here! And yes, before I could snap a good picture of the cake. LOL

Nascar cake for my nephew

My nephew turned 12 this year...... ahhh his last year before he becomes a teenager! Time really goes by so quick!!

As always I called the birthday boy and asked what kind of cake he wanted, every year I get a little excited about his request. This year he picked a nascar cake.

The sugar sheet I used looks so wrinkled on the cake in pictures, but not as bad in person.

Giant Cupcake Cake

I decided to make my mother-in-law a giant cupcake cake this year. My frosting wasn't cooperating this time but I think I managed to make it work.  I had seen other giant cupcakes and the bottom of them look so smooth ........ I wasn't sure if the frosting I was using was going to work so I decided to use wilton candy melts.  It was super easy!! I want to make these all the time now!!! hehehe

The cupcake liner looks so smooth!

The Dinosaur Train Cake

This was such a cute little cake for a special little boy. It was a mid-week request which actually was so easy to make because it's a school night and the kids we to bed early.

I could not get the theme song of the show out of my head the whole time I was decorating it.   "The dinosaur train..... the dinosaur train were gonna ride.... the dinosaur train......."  great now it's stuck in my head again!! hahahaha

I used the Frozen Buttercream Transfer method again with these characters to get the characters just right!

Curious George Birthday Cake

I had a request for a Curious George cake..... now the only way I could think to make it was with the frozen buttercream transfer method.   So here is how it turned out!

Valentines Birthday Cake

I had a request for a birthday day cake for the 13th of February........... now how can I not add some love to it??  My friend wanted a red velvet and cream cheese frosting cake, super easy and wanted the messy smear look (as I call it).

Reindeer Pull-A-Part cake

I needed to bring cupcakes for my daughter's girl scout troop Holiday celebration, so instead of just bringing cupcakes this time I decided to do a pull-a-part cupcake cake!

They are so many ideas that can be done with holiday cake, so I went with Rudolph!

Sorry about the pic, I almost forgot to take one this time and snap it with my phone.
